In The Aftermath...
for now we light candles and pray for sanity to return and save us from ourselves.
Our hearts and prayers are with the people of Paris and all of France in their time of grief.

Ours are as well. Our biped has had the news on almost constantly since she got home from work yesterday, but that doesn't help anything. The problem seems to be without solution, as violence only begets violence, and so it goes in an endless loop. One thing our biped IS glad for: that she's no longer a young woman, starting out in life and facing the real possibility that this kind of madness will just become the norm. :-(

I saw the loveliest post on FB today. It had a quote by Marin Luther King about light being needed to expel darkness and love to expel hatred. Wish I could remember it word for word.
