Glitches...

You may have noticed that we didn't have a post on Wednesday.

We are experiencing technical difficulties in life at the moment.
Nothing major but glitches that are causing things to go askew.

But, we had three great reasons to try to post for tomorrow;

#1...We want to wish everybody a HAPPY EASTER!

#2...HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!

and #3... no fooling, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TOO!

So, I'm going to take a little birthday nap now and dream of chocolate bunnies and pink and yellow PEEPS.

Hopefully we will be back to normal (or some version of normal) next week.

Have a wonderful Easter.

Don't get carried away on April Fools Day.

And have a super duper weekend!

The other Book of Revelations...

And they will create a new and wondrous entity and it shall be called politics.
It will be filled with untruths and hypocrisy and e-mails and tweets.

Of Benghazi and boarder walls. Of cable news and social media.

They will disregard the facts and supplant them with innuendo to further their agendas.

Yeah though they walk through the valley of talking heads they will yield to the sound bites and talking points with which they already agree.

They will post on the hallowed Book of Face and although many will be liked they shall find no comfort there.

They shall be forced to bear witness to the unholy mess they have created known as congress.
Where they shall worship at the alter of big corporations, lobbyist's, the NRA and the Street of Wall.

There they shall convene committees and they shall bicker and rant.

They shall rain down demonizing platitudes against one another while at no time professing their own flaws and failings.

And they shall continue to be in denial and descend once again into chaos.
They shall wander in the desert of ignorance and shame for all eternity

And the people shall be forgotten and left to fend for them selves, (even though they pay taxes).

And the Lord shall say unto them "Behold, I have given you this wondrous planet with water and air and all it's heavenly gifts and what do you do?"
"You screw it all up, what with your climate change and your wars and bi partisan rhetoric and all that hate and fear."

"You see, this is why we can't have nice things."

And they shall fall into despair after the release of McMaster and the second coming of John Bolton ( the first in the time of George W. Bush).

And there they shall await the firing of Muller, and watch the fall of The Dow and bear witness to
the end of The United States as we know it.

Happy thoughts!

Another one bites the dust...

"There is no chaos, everyone wants to work at the White House !"

That was Donald Trump on Monday.

In the 413 days of his presidency (and I use the term loosely)
A lot of people have disappeared from the White House.

Now with the dismissal of Andrew McCabe, another one bites the dust!

Below is a partial list of all those who are no longer around ( courtesy of Rachel Maddow )

Cabinet: HHS Secretary Tom Price, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson

West Wing: Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, Deputy Chief of Staff Katie Walsh, Deputy Chief of Staff Rick Dearborn, National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn, Director of Public Liaison George Sifakis, Office of Public Liaison Communications Director Omarosa Manigault, Staff Secretary Rob Porter, Deputy Assistant to the President Sean Cairncross, Chief Usher Angella Reid, Assistant to the President Reed Cordish, Personal Assistant to the President John McEntee Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Carroll (who’s leaving his post to become the “drug czar”)

White House Communications: Press Secretary Sean Spicer, Assistant Press Secretary Michael Short, Communications Director #1 Mike Dubke, Communications Director #2 Anthony Scaramucci, Communications Director #3 Hope Hicks, Rapid Response Director Andy Hemming, Speechwriter David Sorensen, Senior Communications Official Josh Raffel

National Security team: National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, Deputy National Security Advisor K.T. McFarland, Deputy National Security Advisor Dina Powell, Advisor to the National Security Council Monica Crowley, Director for intelligence programs at the National Security Council Ezra Cohen-Watnick, Deputy Chief of Staff at the National Security Council Tera Dahl, Director Of Strategic Planning at the National Security Council Rich Higgins, NSC Middle East Advisor Derek Harvey, U.S. diplomat overseeing North Korea policy Joseph Yun, Senior Advisor to the Defense Secretary Sally Donnelly, Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Elaine Duke

The self-identified “nationalist” wing: Chief White House Strategist Steve Bannon, National Security Aide Sebastian Gorka

Justice Department: Acting U.S. Attorney General Sally Yates, FBI Director James Comey, Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Mary McCord, FBI Assistant Director Mike Kortan, Justice Department’s Counterintelligence and Export Control Section chief David Laufman, Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand, dozens of U.S. Attorneys

Office of the Vice President: Chief of Staff Josh Pitcock, Press Secretary Marc Lotter, Chief Counsel Mark Paoletta, Domestic Policy Director Daris Meeks

A cavalcade of others that includes CDC Director Brenda Fitzgerald, National Economic Council Deputy Director Jeremy Katz, Domestic Policy Council Deputy Director Paul Winfree; Director of Office of Government Ethics Walter Shaub, Department of Energy Office of Indian Energy Director William Bradford, Department of Homeland Security Faith-Based Director Jamie Johnson, Corporation for National and Community Service Chief of External Affairs Carl Higbie, Office of Drug Control Policy Deputy Chief of Staff Taylor Weyeneth, Trump legal team spokesperson Mark Corallo, EPA Office of Science and Technology Director Elizabeth Southerland, State Department Counselor Maliz Beams, State Department Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas Shannon, Ambassador to Panama John Feeley, Ambassador to Mexico Roberta Jacobson, National Economic Council adviser George David Banks, Federal Railroad Administration’s acting chief Heath Hall, U.S. Forest Service Chief Tony Tooke, and Carl Icahn, who served as a special adviser to the president on regulatory reform.

So, a lot less people working for us. Us being the citizens of the country.
Remember this is why we pay taxes. It's actually not just so Donald can go to his golf club and play golf all the time.

Rumor has it ( or maybe it's Alex Jones ) when Obama was in office, Christianity was under attack and we couldn't even say Merry Christmas
Everyone was getting abortions whether they were pregnant or not. Men, woman and children!
They came and took all the guns which is a little weird...how did they pull off all those mass shootings then?
Oh right...guns don't kill  people.

Maybe it was all because there were just too many people working for the government.

So perhaps Donald and his immediate family is just what we need.

No governing, no experience  no plan.

Ya, that should work out just fine...

Oh and if I were you Jeff Sessions I'd watch my back.

The clock is ticking...

Have a wonderful weekend!

Dispelling fake news......

This is not by any means a complete list, but we had to start somewhere...

#1. Donald Trump will NEVER, I repeat NEVER meet with Kim Jong Un!

#2. Mexico will NEVER pay for Trump's wall.

#3. Taking regulations off of mining companies will NOT bring back coal jobs, period!

#4.  Donald Trump said NO COMPANY would be allowed to move their manufacturing over seas without facing harsh CONSEQUENCE'S so how about one of his buddies Harley Davidson who is closing a plant in Kansas and moving other production to Thailand?

#5. Putting tariffs on steel from other countries will NOT create new steel jobs in the United States and will NOT reduce steel prices here either. That's just the facts not alternate facts, REAL facts.

#6. March 8th was International Women's Day and look what MacDonald's did to celebrate! But was it really their best intentions or just a PR stunt?

The good news is there are forces out there at work to combat what is going on.

There are brave teenagers and dedicated teachers and people who are paying attention.

Do what you can to help if you are so inclined.

You'd be surprised at what one person can do.

Have a great weekend!

In loving memory...

What is left behind is a faded blue puppy given to him by a volunteer on one of his too frequent stays in the hospital, several small wooden trucks, a Snoopy pillow case and boxes of photographs.

Over the years you wait for the pain go away but it never does.

It just changes.

It shifts from day to day and year to year and becomes something different, sometimes better sometimes worse.

And you manage to get through the days...at least most of the time.

You hold on tight and breath and even though you are not the most religious person in the world, you pray a lot.

And if you are very lucky you make it through to the moments when you remember things without the pain and you smile...and then you cry again and that's okay.

For Brandon,

Tuesday tribute...

We found this floating around on the interwebbie and wanted to share it. We love Neil deGrasse Tyson but he definitely met his match here......

We wanted to give credit where credit was due so we Googled  A Cat Named Bitches and were saddened to learn that Bitches the Cat has passed on.
But we thought you might like to take a look at Bitches last will and testament.

Thanks for the wise words Bitches.

Have a wonderful Wednesday...

A little this, a little that...

First we have an update.

If you read our post last week you know that Dicks Sporting Goods has gone the furthest in doing something to stop some of the gun violence in this country by refusing to continue to sell automatic weapons and semi automatic weapons and raising the age to purchase any gun to 21..

The company expected a backlash, but something interesting happened!

We're waiting to see if anyone else is brave enough to follow in their foot steps.

Then there is Georgia's lieutenant governor Casey Cagle's battle with Delta..

Today Delta has had offers to move their base from Atlanta to Ohio, Virginia and several other states who are offering better and bigger tax breaks. So what happens if they move? Thousands of jobs lost. Tons of money goes away from the state. Not to mention it would all be due to  Mr. Cagle's inability to recognize and preserve the First Amendment!

Stepping away from the gun issue for a moment...

So, what may you ask is a Jarvanka?

Next, we want to mention a really well done mini series that's on FX, The Assassination of Gianni Versace I can't emphasize enough how well done this series is. There are 3 more episode's on Wednesdays at 10pm. We won't be at all surprised if it garners many Emmy's come award time.

Then there is the on going saga of Hopeless In The White House.

Yes, Hope Hicks has left the building...
And along with her she takes any confidant Donald Trump had left.
With the dire straights that Jared and Ivanka find themselves in what's a poor president to do?
Start trade wars of coarse!

And finally, we feel compelled to acknowledge the milestone hit by President Trump this week.
He has spent 100 days of his presidency playing golf! 100 out of 407 so roughly one quarter of his time...funny I could swear I remember him saying something about never leaving the White House because they're would be so much work to do.

Those are your tax dollars folks...

Have a stupendous weekend!
