It starts with one pin...

In the wake of the BREXIT vote in the United Kingdom, people took to wearing a safety pin to show their solidarity with refugees and immigrants...so that without a word people could see their safety pin and know that you were a friendly face and that they were 'safe' with you.

Now it seems to be time to wear a safety pin here if you would like to show your solidarity with
anyone who feels threatened, scared or uncertain about their place in this country.

Find yourself a safety pin and wear it proudly to let people know that you are a friendly face.

That they are safe with you and you stand by them.

It all starts with a single pin...

And then a few more...

Pretty soon they start to add up...

Become part of the movement...

Others have...

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  1. TW has been wearing her pin. Unfortunately, haters have already corrupted the pin. I saw on FB where there were people piling on a woman who came out and some of those making the cruel comments had safety pins as their avatars. Very sad.

  4. I wondered about that pin thing Noodle. I do wish everyone would just be kind to one another. It's sure a lot easier than being mean and mad.

  7. A wonderful gesture and according to a bloggeron this blog, corrupted already by haters.
How about choosing something they would NEVER put on their bodies, like a bright pink ribbon or bright pink anything. Good for you and the safety pin blog today.

  9. Oh Noodle, we always luv seein' your gawjus face. We think peeps are really over reactin'. We think dat this country needs a change. We were headin' fur destruction. In mommys lifetime she had never feared an attack from foreign governments (wars) or terrorists to actually happen here in our great country, until it happened and da country respawnded by electing da most unAmerican they could. We once again, feel pawsitive 'bout da way things are goin' and feel dat peeps are ready to take back our Country and keep our fureedoms. We won't be wearin' any safety pins, lessen it's needed to keep our shirt closed. But, so long as you mean us no harm and want to assimilate into America and accept our laws and constitution, you are safe with us. We got your back. God Bless America.
    And big hugs to you.

    Luv ya'
