It's alive!

We apologize ahead of time for our wonky line breaks?????????

After seven years and many iterations the Republicans attempted to repeal Obamacare one more time early Friday morning.

No one really knew how it would end.

There was all sorts of speculation and debate but in the end it came down to Arizona Senator John
McCain's vote.
.
He along with Lisa Murkowski
of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine where the only brave souls to vote against party lines.

In the aftermath, there has been plenty of  finger pointing and threats.

But let's be clear...

This wasn't the Democrats versus the Republicans.

This was the American people speaking out!

Over 50% of Americans wanted to keep some form of Obamacare aka the Affordable Care Act.

While only 17% supported the GOP bill.

This was not lost on some Senators who had the guts to vote the way their constituents wanted them

to vote and not be harassed and threatened by the White House.

We are very aware that the bill is flawed.

Ours were among the premiums and co-pays that went up.

But this time around we actually didn't throw the baby out with the bath water!

Maybe there is hope for us after all...

And so after all those years and all those votes, we think Gene Wilder said it best!

Have a happy and hopefully health covered weekend!
