Oh what a tangled web we weave...

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive...
The line comes from a poem by Sir Walter Scott

And boy has this president woven a big one already!
But it's not just Trump, it's all of those he surrounds himself with who seem to have a very different view of what truth is.

On Wednesday Steven Miller gave a press briefing on that days newest proposed legislation aimed at
immigration.

It was filled with convoluted alternate facts and numbers that some one reached out and pulled from heaven knows where.

The proposed bill would not only address illegal immigration but legal immigrants would now be in the cross hairs.

During the briefing there was a heated exchange between Miller and CNN's Jim Acosta.

It appears that we should tear down or cover the Statue of Liberty as the words she evokes seem to no longer apply to our country.

This is one of a string of proposals that are destined to take us back in history.
Take us back to a place where supporters of this new president feel safe.

Where only English is spoken and white privilege is now something to be proud of.

No more hand outs, even though statistically there are more white Americana's on food stamps and getting federal help than any other segment of the population.

Legal immigrants can't get food stamps or anything else for 5 or more years so what's all the fuss about?

It's about turning back some imaginary clock to a better time.

A whiter time.

So we watch and wait as the new administration bends the truth and censors anyone who doesn't fall in line with their thinking.

We watch and wait for the web to fall apart...

Have a wonderful weekend!

It really is a circus, heh na? I've lost track with who's been hired and fired; am starting to skip news bulletins, I must confess. It's all getting so... tacky. Not just your way, but all over the place.

Slightly aside, but not altogether, I am currently reading this very interesting publication... think you may also appreciate its context. Have a blessed Sunday dear Noodle. Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. When I first enter Civil Service, we called "alternative facts" less politely "rectal extractrations".

We expect the "Alien and Sedition Acts" to be re-offerred as new law any day now.
