Remember when?

I'm dreaming about days gone by...

Remember when there was no such thing as cell phones only beepers?
Remember when you rented movies on VHS?
Remember when there was nothing called a laptop or ipad?
Remember mini skirts and Beatle boots and record players and 45's?
Remember transistor radios?
Remember when public schools had art and music programs and taught writing in cursive?
Remember when prisons where not for profit?
Remember newspapers?

Remember when, we had a president who spoke eloquently?
Remember when we had a president who wasn't mired in scandals?
Remember when every waking hour wasn't about juvenile things the president said and did?
Remember when the president didn't insult our allies?
Remember when the president didn't defend pedophiles, Nazis and abusers?
Remember when the president wasn't in it for the money?
Remember when the presidents cabinet was filled with competent people who knew their jobs?

Remember that, that was just a year ago?

Those were the days my friend......

Have a fab weekend!

  6. Will folk look back and laugh or cry, I wonder? Sometimes we need to have a benchmark to move away from, a sort of resettling of the clocks as it were, as long as we learn from the past that is the present, there is hope....

  10. I remember those times, even the long ago ones. I remember when Nixon had to resign in shame, when LBJ had to not seek re-election because he WON the NH primary by too little, and when Republicans cared about the deficit and morals.

When the Republicans call themselves "The Party Of Lincoln", I laugh-cry. They are the bigoted Dixiecrats of the old Democratic Party.

I count the weeks until the 2018 November elections. If the nation doesn't reject Trump then, we are in DEEP DARK TROUBLE!

  11. Sigh! And yet reading the editorials in my local paper, there are those who totally back 45, say we must all get together cos no president has been mocked like him and then crucify Obama in the same letter. We remember those lava lamps and black light posters and when America was respected worldwide.
