Another Edition of Noodle's Fuzzy Hugs And Sticky Paws...

A big Sticky Paw to redefining the meaning of words and phrases like patriotism and political correctness...

Seems as though the meaning of these words have been bandied about quite a bit lately.

Take patriotism for example; it seems it is only patriotic if it fits my agenda and terms.
When Colin Kaepernick, a football player expressed his first amendment rights by not standing during the playing of the National Anthem his actions were scrutinized by anyone and everyone.
He was called unpatriotic and told he was disrespecting the troops.
In case anyone forgot that is why the troops are troops.
Yes, they are there to protect us from harm but they are also there to defend this country's right to freedom of speech and the right to protest! Just like this guy who protested Mr. Kaepernick's actions which he found objectionable by burning the player's number 7 football jersey.

Next we come to the definition of politically correct which is now something so subjective that it's lost all meaning completely.

Let me preface this next one with a comment; You will never know how many opportunities we have had to give Sticky Paws and Hairballs to Donald Trump over the last 15 months that we didn't take.
That being said there are times we can't ignore certain things he says and does so a great big Sticky Paw to Donald Trumps attempt to re write history and try to walk back the whole birther movement he's been promoting over the past 5-6 years.

Moving on, a HUGE kitty kiss to Michel Obama!
Years from now she will be the gold standard for what a great first lady should be.

And a great big Kitty Kiss to Reverend Faith Green Timmons of Bethel United Methodist Church in
Flint, Michigan for being gracious and patient while standing her ground!

And lastly, we want to give a shout out and a big Fuzzy Hug to The Greater Good animal rescue site.
They have this super bright and cute apron that would make a great Christmas gift and
every purchase buys 14 bowls of food for rescued animals!

Have a super weekend!

  7. It constantly amazes me that Trump gets away with statements that probably should disqualify him from office as Mayor of a small town never mind President of the US.

Trump said (finally) after getting all the Birthers in his camp, that Obama was a US citizen. But even then he said it in a way that signaled to his supporters that he was "forced" to say it for "campaign reasons". So it was "wink, wink, nod, nod. we'll pretend".

But he can't let it go. It's what got him the nomination from the Republipcan base after all. He later said that Obama perhaps has a birth certificate, but "there is something on that birth certificate — maybe religion, maybe it says he's a Muslim, I don't know. Maybe he doesn't want that. Or, he may not have one."

Well, lets see Trump's tax returns of recent years. Perhaps there is something in those he doesn't want us to see. Like little or no tax payments, like little or no charity as he claims there are HUGE ones. Like he is not as rich and successful as he claims.

Trump's line of attack is annoying to rational people. "X is bad, but I love X and they love me, but they are bad". I mean, really, WHAT?

That's the biggest load of manure I've seen since I visited a dairy farm and hauled away trashcanfuls of aged cow output for a compost pile!

Newest is now he says the recent failed bombs in New York/New Jersey were the work of immigrant terrorsists the Oboma Administration has allowed into the country. The current criminal came here at 7 years old. I am pretty sure no 7 year olds are terrorists. But that doesn't stop Trump.

Nothing stops Trump. Not facts, not logic, not truth, not evidence...

What on Earth does anyone think he would be like in the White House? I can't actually decide. He would either start WW3 or he would be so cowed by REAL bullies like Putin who threatened WW3 that he would fold his cards and hide.

Because that's what schoolyard bullies do when faced with a bigger bully. They collapse.

Clinton has faced these worldwide bullies and she knows how to deal with them. Too many people are conflating "large male bully" with strength. I remind all of what Theodore Rolosevelt said; "Speak softly and carry a big stick".

Hillary Clinton knows the US "Big Stick" of general military power, but also American influence, ideas of democracy, economic help to improve live abroad, medicine advancements, improvements in agriculture, etc.

She knows it all, Trump knows nothing. It simply cannot be possible for Trump to be a better President than Hillary Clinton.

  11. Worst than not standing for the flag was the total disrespect Mr. Trump showed for Senator McCain and all of our POW's from past wars.

“He’s not a war hero,” said Trump. “He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

Personally, I like people who serve. While Senator McCain and the others were being tortured Mr. Trump didn't even have to worry about being drafted. His rich father would have kept him in school as long as necessary. His lack of respect towards our military heroes is shameful.

  12. Oh my mouses! All that politically correct business? Makes me wanna smacky-paw someone right upside the head. I'm tellin' ya, certain people are usin' it as an EXCUSE to be mean and just plain ol' rude. If bein' kind and polite means I'm bein' politically correct, I'm all for bein' politically correct, for sure. After all, I was brought up to be a Gentlecat and Gentlecats are NEVER RUDE. MOUSES!
