A brand new year...

It's the end of 2017.

How did we ever make it through?

This year was filled with chaos, division, protests and some of the worst natural disasters we've ever seen..

Terrorist attacks both foreign and domestic.

Income inequality became wider.

Then there's the opioid epidemic and unimaginable amounts of gun violence.

Poverty is on the rise.

For the first time people are dying younger...

Some might say it's looking pretty bleak.

So, will 2018 be better?

Only if we make it better.

It all ends up trickling down to us. ( that, I suspect is the real meaning of trickle down )

So what can we do?

We can be kind. We can be sensitive to the feelings of others.

We can take little steps.

We can reach out, lend a hand, give an hour or two.

Make a call.

Tutor a child.

Start a conversation.

Donate to a worthy cause.

Volunteer.

Start a movement!

One candle really can light the darkness.

One person really can make a difference.

Let's all quit procrastinating and saying we'll do it tomorrow.

Let's do it now.

Let's make some noise, let's change the world!

Happy New Year!

Noodle and crew

Agreed, and again we are in unison of thought and word - and, I suspect, deed, dear Noodle! Let us move over the threshold of 2018 with light in our own hearts and pray it sheds a little elsewhere. Much Love and Good Wishes, YAM-aunty xxx

  9. When somebody came up with the expression "Vote for Change" they came up with a truth that is now more important than ever if the real folk of this world are to get by and help others survive. I hopes that whoever folks are, 2018 will be a good happy and prosperous (and not just financially) New Year....

  10. Can you tattoo this in the head of every man in a suit on the Capitol please, and every rich person who doesn't care. Oh and while you are at it Mark Zuckerberg and the people who own Google too. Once that's done Keep Shouting Noodle, keep writing and keep reminding people that there is too much unfairness - and that WE MUST FIGHT.

    * Have A Happy and Determined New Year *
