Never mind the outcome...

Unless you live under a rock, you've heard about the whole kerfuffle about Brett Kavanaugh and an accusation of sexual assault.

Eerily similar to Anita Hill and Clarence Thomas, it's been all over the news.

hearing is being hammered out as I write this.

And I do mean hammered.

Republicans have thrown down the gauntlet.

They are getting their judge no matter how badly he's viewed by the public.

No matter what Kavanaugh has or hasn't done.

The United States has lost all respect, dignity and credibility under this president.

We are about to lose what little morality we still have, in a public display of blame the victim all over again.

While there is a debate raging about honoring the Pledge Of Allegiance    and The National Anthem  I can't help but wonder just what it is we are pledging allegiance to anymore.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. We think the Humans should step aside and give US a chance to run everything. I am certain we can do a better job.

  4. You, know, it's hard to have the wonderful weekends we used to have when we were an admired and ethical country. But what the hell...the pendulum swings back, as Ruth Bader Ginsburg's husband used to say. Americans are radical and if it swings one way, it will return....but when.

  6. I know we have a lot wrong with our country, but in this case, I think she waited too long to speak up. I don't know how he got as far in life as he did if he is as awful as she makes him sound. And why was she alone with 2 guys at a party?

    1. Me again, I shouldn't have commented on Kavanaugh because I didn't know all the facts. Now I have read that she was forced into the room so I take back my previous comment. I think people rarely change so if he was like that back then , he probably still is.

  8. We are starting to doubt (with relief) that Kavanaugh will ever be a Supreme. The frustrating thing is that it won't be because he makes bad judicial decisions and shouldn't be a Supreme for those reasons alone.

Apparently, he has a past that would shock (I hope) even wild partier fraternity types in college. If so much as one of the current 4 allegations are true, he is ethically creepy and a criminal as well.

The Senate consent hearings are not a criminal trial. There is no conviction being considered. It is a JOB INTERVIEW! One can be not chosen for a job for many reasons not involving crimes.

I was dismissed from further consideration for some jobs in my life merely because I didn't have one particular skill, because I didn't have the college degree they wanted, or because I just didn't know the keywords important to the interviewers.

All that meant was that I stayed in my current job. No one said "OMG, he got turned down for that job, so he must be removed from his current one". It just means maybe they try again with a better cndidate.

Sort of funny story: When videoconferncing was new, I managed a project at a minor Federal Agency to create a video network across our 12 regional offices. I managed all aspects of the room designs for acoustics, the arrangement of seating, the network specifications, visited every location, designed the scheduling system that worked across 4 time zones, oversaw the pre-launch testing, etc.

The video network was a complete success. A large Federal Agency that used our netork was so impressed that their telecommunications office specifically asked me to apply for the job as project manager and future director of a video network of their own. I was pre-selected.

But I couldn't get past their Human Resources office. THEY demanded that I had a degree in some telecommunications subject. I didnt have that and that shut me out! That was extremely disappointing and unfair, but all it meant was that I kept my current job.

Kavanaugh can go back to his current position. Trump can nominate another person. And then we will see what happens with THAT one.
