There's a lot of talk about the upcoming
first hundred days of this new presidency...
Even as Mr.Trump now
seems to dismiss this marker.
It seems to me like we are all in a waiting game, a kind of weird holding pattern.
Those who support the president and his
agenda are waiting for:
all those jobs.
They are waiting for that wall to get built.
All the illegal immigrants to be
deported.
All those manufacturing jobs to appear
They are waiting for the repeal of
Obama Care,
Those who didn't vote for him are waiting too.
They are waiting to see where women who can't afford it will get health care now that he has defunded
Planned Parenthood.
They are waiting to see who is next on the list of those who are not welcome here.
Waiting to see if
the Emoluments Clause is still even relevant.
Waiting to see where all those ties to
Russia end up...
Everyone is waiting to see if we will go to war with North Korea or Iran (or maybe even Canada).
And many are waiting to see just how much of all of this
not normal stuff will be one thing too many
and what will that lead to?
Impeachment?
Imprisonment?
Just more of the same?
And so we wait...
It fells like we are all on auto pilot, drifting round and round high above the airport just waiting to finally land and running out of fuel.
It almost feels normal...but not quite.
Let's hope we get to land soon.
Before we don't even question the normalcy of it all anymore.
Have a wonderful Sunday...
