Oh, The Irony...

Isn't it ironic? Donald Trump ads compare him to a lion...both his sons hunt and kill big game in Africa, lions among them...

After the killing of Cecil the lion, Donald Trump defended his sons killing of big game;

Just something to think about...

We would like to send or thoughts and prayers to the victims and their friends and families in Orlando, Florida. And to all those that this terrible tragedy has touched...
We are so very tired of writing posts addressing these types of events.
There have been far to many;

But now there may be a glimmer of hope.
Did you know that usually in congress Filibusters, even when tried, don't work.
But Thursday Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut stood for 15 hours unrelentingly and passionately speaking out for the victims of gun violence.

All he was asking for was a vote.

Over forty senators both democrat and republican ended up joining him and in the end their efforts paid off.
There will be a vote on back ground checks and on the no fly, no buy law which would make it illegal for persons on the terror watch list not to be able to purchase guns.
Yes, right now it's legal!

Historic Moments ...

Noodle thought; "When things seem beyond our reach we just have to try a little harder. Some of the hardest things to obtain are the most important..."

Which brings me to this;

‘HER!’: Newspaper front pages laud Hillary Clinton’s historic nomination

Hillary Clinton on the front page of the New York Daily News.

Whether you are a Democrat or Republican, Independent or other, whether you love her or hate her; remember this moment it is historic.

And in case you don't think a woman is up for the job, don't forget;

Have a wonderful weekend!

You've Got To Kiss A Lot Of Frogs......

                                                                    ( not Noodle )

March 23rd 2015 Ted Cruz became the first major candidate to announce he was running for president in 2016.
To put that in perspective that's one year, two months and eleven days ago...ah, seems like only yesterday ( if you have amnesia ).

We have since witnessed 17 republican candidates and 5 democrats vie for the title of  nominee of their respective parties.
So, yes we have kissed a lot of frogs but to what end?
Where is our white knight? Where is the happily ever after?
Seems like all we got for our trouble was a whole bunch of warts!

In keeping with our complete and unbiased objectivity, this week we take a look at Hillary...

First there are the main talking points;

The biggest complaint being people don't think she's trustworthy.
Then there is, Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi!
Those Pesky e-mails.
Bill and his indiscretions with the ladies.
She's not warm and fuzzy.
She's not humble enough.

Hillary is like any other politician in that she has her share of warts.
Show me a politician who doesn't.
She's too defensive.
She doesn't have a sparkling personality.
She is a Washington insider.

But, ask yourself this simple question;
If I need medical attention would I go to Dr. Hillary or Mr. Trump?
Sure Mr.Trump says he knows what he's doing ( "trust me") but he has no medical degree and the closest thing he has to one is the fact that he played the game Operation really well when he was a kid.
DR. Hillary on the other hand does have a degree and plenty of experience.
She may not have a great bedside manner and I may not want to have a beer with her but she will save my life...
Not so hard to decide anymore is it?
And if you think because she's a woman she isn't tough enough; check this out...

My opinion; we need a president who is knowledgeable, fierce and will get the job done.
And has a record to back that up.
In this era of us all wanting the wow factor from a candidate, it might be wise to think long and hard about what we really want from the person who leads our country and not so much about how entertaining or likeable they are.

So yes, it's been a long ride and it's not over yet.
We've had to kiss a lot of frogs along the way and there is probably still more puckering to come.
We still have 5 months of this crap left!

We hope that Noodle's blog has helped sort through the slog of information out there and in the process has been as fair and bipartisan as we possibly could. We have truly made an effort to do so.

We will try to keep on top of all the candidates and their policies as well as bring you bits and pieces that may have slipped through the cracks or are just plain interesting.

We hope that you will always feel comfortable and free to call us out if you think we have misrepresented someone or something.
Politics should be discussed not screamed in anger or bullied into submission...

The most important thing any of us can do is VOTE. It's easy to get fed up with the process, throw your hands up and walk away.
But that just leaves a bigger mess later on down the road.

Have a wonderful weekend!

The Art Of Hyperbole...

                Noodle's poor little head is spinning with all the contradictions in Mr.Trumps statements...

When he's not playing the victim Donald Trump's fall back position is to continuously brag about his wealth ( but he will never release his taxes so we just have to take his word )
Then he will go on to expound on his amazing poll numbers (they are the best and biggest believe him!)
Then how this group of people loves him and that group loves him...( again, forget reality just believe...magic!)
Then using the vocabulary of a toddler he moves on to calling everyone childish and belittling names;

Low energy Jeb
Crazy Bernie
Pocahontas referring to Elizabeth Warren
Crocked Hillary
Lying Ted
Little Marco

So and so is horrible because they dared to disagree with him or confronted him with actual facts that he can't dispute and thus another tirade begins.
Look nobody said he has to like these people but use at least a modicum of  discretion when  talking about them. You are asking to be the leader of the free world for goodness sake!

Then it's on to poor little Donald and all the people who are picking on him ( I wonder if he's ever heard the adage don't dish it out if you can't take it...)
"The media hates me"
"The system is rigged against me..."
"I have to do it, I have no choice..."
"They're mean to me...."
"It's very, very unfair..."
"I would never say that...but let me say that."
"I don't bring these things up,  I just repeat them."
"They attacked me first..."or the more often used "They/he/she started it..."
"I didn't mean that, it was just a suggestion..."(this apparently applies to EVERYTHING)

After which he throws out insult after insult and out and out proven false statements as well as blatant lies; "suggesting" things like;
The Clinton's were somehow involved in murders...
The president is NOT an American...
Ted Cruz's Father had something to do with John F. Kennedy's assassination...

And amongst this litany of words there are no policies, no plans,
just insults, innuendos, suggestions and empty promises...

Disagree? Go on the interwebbie and google Trump speech's  and take a listen to a few
or watch this documentary that was done 20 years ago but unreleased until recently and hear his own words.
The bottom line...if you eliminate the hyperbole and arrogance there is nothing left but a lot of preening and pandering. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jesse-kornbluth/25-years-ago-a-documentar_b_9727252.html
And that my friends will NOT create jobs, take care of veterans, or make us safer.

( next week it's Hillary's turn )

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
