Some Things For The Weekend... and more Sticky Paws and Hairballs vs. Kitty Kisses and Fuzzy Hugs:

Let me begin by stating that I am not against people having guns. I am however one of many who believe that there is no place in society for automatic weapons and huge ammunition clips unless you are a member of a legitimate law enforcement agency or military organization by which I mean you are in combat ( actual, legal ) combat.

I am also in favor of background checks. Especially for those weapons sold over the Internet and at gun shows that said...

A huge, super sticky, sticky paw to the overly extreme gun enthusiasts who showed up at a cafe parking lot in Texas to intimidate  a group of moms who were meeting to discuss what can be done about gun control in the wake of events like Sandy Hook, Aurora and all the other recent places where gun violence has erupted.
Four women meeting to have a discussion vs. forty automatic gun toting, pro gun enthusiasts.

Hairy, Hairy hair balls to the most absurd twist on gun laws we've heard yet!

OK, enough about guns...

A big fuzzy hug to The Cat On My Head for giving me a " shout out ", thanks you guys! It makes me warm and fuzzy all over!

A big kitty kiss to Cat Scouts! I was accepted into the fold a week ago and I'm ready to learn everything I can! I will try my best to be the best Cat Scout possible!

Just for something a little different thought I would throw in a photo of my human playing with the big kitties...

And lastly; Here is a link to a very good cat news letter put out by Tufts University veterinary medicine department http://tuftscatnip.com/

Have a great weekend!

  5. What an array of news. Thanks so much for mentioning us, and of course, you know how happy Mauricio is that you joined Cat Scouts and the Worldwide Wildcats. Your human is so fortunate to have met big cats. Our mommy would love that. As to guns: our mom won't have one in our house, even though her dad and granddad were hunters. If someone is a hunter for the sake of obtaining food, whether by gun or bow, that is legitimate, and our military and law enforcement need weapons, but otherwise, we see no need for them. We agree that automatic and assault weapons have no place in the hands of civilians. We live about 35 miles from VA Tech and so mom is very sensitized to these awful unprovoked incidents of killing across our country. Thanks for sharing all these various things.
