Guns...

How many guns will it take?

There have been 202 mass shootings so far this year
How many will it take before we actually DO something about it?

Will we ever bother to do anything?
Through the years we have done many posts about guns...
is anybody listening?

Hello?

Aliens...

 On October 27th 2021

the evening news closed with the announcement that NASA had announced there was definitive proof

of aliens that walk among us

ALIENS! That's right Aliens....

Aliens, and no one cared. We were in the middle of a pandemic.

It's a little late but "there are Aliens!"

Now you know...

And they are real and they are here.

Just one of the things you missed last year.

Wordless Wednesday...

 What was...

as a child of a military family, all my uncles were also proud to serve this country. Their ranks were E8 to Pacific Fleet commander. one was a Republican State Chairman. Needless to say I grew up Republican.  Which I no longer claim this party as mine. My Uncles were men of integrity, honor, and honesty.  they would not like, or recognized what their grand old party has become. Election deniers, the lairs, the bullying. Nothing made them see red was a bully. I saw a bumper sticker that said, A Worman voting for a republican, is like a chicken voting for colonel Sanders Now you may add the honest the kind the fiscal conservative, and most all other voters.

Now Christians, when I was a child in the early 60s, my pictures of Jesus was of a man with long black hair deep rich olive colored skin, you know someone who was born in the middle east. My classes taught me that Jesus walked and cared for the sick, the lame, and misguided. He did not turn his back an anyone. That is a good Christian. Question are you that kind of Christian.

Yes I do
miss those old days when I was taught honesty, integrity, pride in my country, kindness to help others, and this was really big in my house.....Mind Your Own Business. MYOB in my house.

this has been a quest post

The check is in the mail...

What if you lent a friend fifty dollars.

They are supposed to pay you back on Sundy.

Sunday rolls around and you ask this friend.

"where is my money"

They answer "what money''?

Let's pay our debts

Have  a happy Sunday!

Cheddar...

A reprint from 2017:

In this world that at times can be filled with anxiety and division sometimes it's hard to find the stories of simple acts of goodness and love that are hidden in the chaos.

We came upon one such story right in our own neighborhood and were so moved we wanted to share it...

Jade got her cat Cheddar from the Brooklyn New York public shelter 1 year ago.
She flew home with him and he became a part of the family.

Cheddar would sit in the front window and watch people walk by.
Jade would take Cheddar for walks around the neighborhood on a little leash and harness and says he loved meeting new people and their dogs.

On Friday, Cheddar accidentally got out.

That evening  a couple stood in the street as they tended to a cat that had been hit by a car.
They where trying to notify the owner and stayed with the injured cat petting and comforting it.

On Saturday there was a small makeshift memorial where Cheddar had been hit. One of the notes left at the memorial was handwritten and said, "I was on my way to work. Please forgive me."

Later, Jade would leave a comment in a post where this story was first reported where she said; "to the young man who had this unfortunate accident with Cheddar, It was not your fault and I do forgive you".

Cheddar didn't know the couple who comforted him while they searched for his owner.

He didn't  know the person who hit him.

He didn't know the people who read his story and sent words of comfort and sympathy to Jade.

But clearly all these people where touched briefly by a cat named Cheddar.

In loving memory of Cheddar...
