                   SOME THINGS TO THINK ABOUT THIS WEEKEND...

                                    that's right, I'm sticking my nose in the nations business again!

So, I've been thinking about guns...how nothing gets done and we have tragedy after tragedy what seems like daily now and I think I've come up with an idea...
We wouldn't have to change the laws. No one would have to give up their guns. You could buy all the guns you want... we just raise the price of ammunition. I mean a lot, like one bullet = $100.00.
And there would be a tax, a big tax, so $100.00 + like 18% would be $ 118.00 per shot. If you purchase 30 rounds of ammunition that's $ 3540.00. (Right now you can buy a whole box of like 40 bullets for about $25.00 at Walmart.)
It just might help cut down on the number of shootings...
And, we could put all that extra money into infrastructure and securing our power grids so things like this don't happen; http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304851104579359141941621778
And at the same time it just might reduce the amount of gun violence. Hey, it worked with cigarettes!

Will the Affordable Care Act really cost jobs? See for yourself;

From American Idol to congress?

Just how broken is our justice system? Remember the young man who killed 4 people while driving drunk who used the defense of Affluenza...

What if we had a system where everyone had the same access to legal representation no matter how poor or wealthy you were? Thoughts?

You don't need to watch the Olympics to see some amazing gymnastics. Just take a look at congress!
Yep, they are at it again;

An open letter to a customer from a restaurant owner in a difficult situation ( get the Kleenex ready )...

And lastly; today is the fiftieth anniversary of the Beatles first visit to the U.S.A. which launched the
British Invasion. Thank you England, that's some mighty amazing music! We love you yeah, yeah, yeah...

  5. We'd heard it was 50 years for the Beatles. Half a century...crazy. LOL.

    We're not U.S. kitties, so don't really have a right to say anything, but since Canadian news follows a lot of happenings south of our border, we rather like your idea re: ammunition! Perfect solution from our point of view!

    P.S. Can you really buy bullets at WalMart? Seriously? Not really, you're kidding, right? Because we can't wrap our heads around that.

  9. Noodle, we like when you stick your nose in the nation's business. You have some good ideas.

    The mom says she remembers watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show way back when. She's really old. ;)

  10. Hi Noodle...we stopped by to say hello and Mum really likes your blog. She calls it 'gritty'. Her opinion about gun control is not to control the guns but to actually punish people who kill others. She suggests outsourcing prisons to Mexico or India or China...she thinks those prisons may not have quite as many video games, baseball diamonds, or shopping trips as our US prisons offer.
