MONDAY MORNING MEWSINGS...

So I understand that the Republicans want something before they will agree to open the government back up and raise the debt ceiling...
Do you think they would take my mousie?

So, cats and Q-tips... Need I say more?

Florence Nightingale owned more than sixty cats in her life time and often complained of mysterious "stains" on her paperwork.

" The problem with cats is that they get the same exact look whether they see a moth or an ax murderer"- Paula Poundstone

I hope you will forgive this departure from our normal offerings. Today is my humans birthday and she wanted to share a few reflections on life...

We are truly remarkable beings.

Our bones may break but our spirits remain in tact.

We flourish in the face of adversity and at times we throw caution to the wind and jump into life with both feet.

For what would life be without that insatiable human quality to take a chance. To cross that line in the sand. To " boldly go where no man ( or woman ) has gone before." To reach the unreachable star,
think the unthinkable thought, climb the highest mountain and dream the impossible dream.

So, we gather ourselves up and jump over the deep dark cavernous cracks of life that should stop us dead in our tracks..."danger Will Robinson!"

The edge of the cliff is drawing too near, the lake is too deep, the ice too thin, the risk too great, the heart too fragile and the dream too distant.

Yet, we can choose to leap with abandon although everything within us screams STOP!

For those who do, the sun shines a little brighter. The ciaos is a little clearer. The picture is a little sharper. The taste a little truer and the touch a little more intense.

To play it safe is to always wonder "what if?" To regret all of the" if only I had's."

Will you come to the last pages of your life with unresolved chapters? With dreams left unfulfilled to late to change the ending of your story?

Here it is the beginning of another week, a week filled with the promise of possibilities...
What will you do this week? Will you step outside of your comfort zone?
Take a big deep breath and walk toward where you want to be and what you want to do...
I was always afraid to fly. One day I just took a giant leap of faith and got on a plane. My life has never been the same!
Change is scary and it is easier to put it off until tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow...

Take a chance, leap!

  1. Happy Birthday, Noodles Mom! That was a wonderful piece of writing (even if it was not about Paris), and it reminds me to not be fearful, something all too easy to descend into. Have a wonderful day!

  5. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY. Very sorry to have missed it. Hope you took that leap and did something unexpected that day. I have a couple of posts already scheduled, but sometime later this coming week I plan to give you a shout out and link back to you. When I find blogs that I think are great but are not being read by many folks, I like to do this. I'm pretty sure you won't mind but let me know if you do. Janet
